New Media
Week 1
On my first day of this AVT class, was also my first day of
being at GMU from transferring over. I don’t
know a lot about computers and am not good at de-coding and would much rather
go without it. An advisor told me there
was a class I may be interested in that I could take to fulfill my IT
requirements.
When I got to class and started looking around at all of the
Apple computers I could already tell it would be more interesting to me. Mr.
Torres went over how the class would be ran through out the semester and the
new materials we would learn such as new media vs old media, photo shop, and
more. He also showed us a website “The Cluster project” which showed us some
new media- www.theclusterproject.com
. This website was really cool to me, I haven’t been on a website like this
before. From what I know so far about this class, I think I will be learning a
lot of new knowledge about Media. lk
