This article, “JEAN BAUDRILLARD. SIMULACRA AND SIMULATIONS”
I think was too long. For a topic that didn’t
interest me very much, it made me have to re-read a lot of the paragraphs because I
would actually forget what I read. I don’t think there was a whole lot of point
to it- didn’t really need a whole story if there was trying to be a point made.
Maybe it was trying to tell us what still exists and doesn't exist? Not sure…
Reminded me more of like a history lesson, at some points
reading a story about Italy. Or when it talks about the communists attacking the socialist party and wanted to shatter the union of the left. But then again it does tell you about how they’re
trying to get the message across, psychological aspects, power etc. Ideology is a part of art because you have to be creative, and that's in there too.
I feel like to enjoy this article, you have to really have a
true passion for art. So it would be a great interesting read for people that
are in to these kinds of topics.
